Princess Alexandra Room
The Princess Alexandra Room combines a glistening chandelier, floor to ceiling windows, and traditional period features. The room is named after Her Royal Highness, Princess Alexandra of Kent, who became the College's first Royal Honorary Fellow in 1959, and whose portrait hangs to the East of the room. The Princess Alexandra room has hosted many important historical meetings, including when Sir Joseph Lister first presented his work on antiseptic surgery and changed the future of medicine. The soft colouring and natural light of this room makes it the perfect venue for any special occasion, celebration or event. Ladies can also relax on the chaise longue or powder one's nose in the Ladies Powder Room, located just outside.

Thanks so much for helping with the event - I'm told that it ran smoothly and you guys were attentive and helpful with any requests.
Emma said that the food was amazing however there was so much of it, so the only feedback would probably be that you could probably get away with smaller portions per person.
The attendees and Buttercups staff really liked the venue and overall we had a super positive experience with you, so thank you very much for that!
I will definitely save your details for any future events we may have in Scotland.
Thank you once again for all of your help - it has been lovely dealing with you.
Buttercups Training
I thought I would let you know that the dinner last night at the RCPSG went extremely well. I was delighted with the high quality of the meal, as were my guests, and also we were very well looked after Raj who was faultless in his attention to every detail. Also I thought the venue, the room and table layout were all very stylish. Altogether a great job and a fine evening. I shall certainly choose this venue again if and when the need arises.
College Fellow
Our experience at the Royal College was fabulous! Mike and I were looking at the delegate feedback forms yesterday and everyone said the venue was amazing.
Your waiting staff were so attentive and really went above and beyond with any request we had. The kitchen staff should be congratulated on the food they produced. It was so tasty and presented beautifully too.
I had the pleasure of meeting some of your directors and management team, and they could not have been more engaging. The lady and gentlemen who covered reception over the two days were most helpful too.
Please thank Claire from the History department for giving our delegates a tour of the building on the Friday lunchtime. I have seen some of the photographs they took on social media, and they were thrilled to be taken around.
When other members of staff were passing through reception, they all had a smile and a welcome for us. You must have the happiest workplace in Glasgow!
Finally, can I personally thank yourself and all of your colleagues with whom I dealt throughout the event booking process. You were all so helpful and professional, an absolute pleasure to work with.
I would have no hesitation in recommending 1599 at the Royal College. I hope to work with you again for future events.
